Facility Use Requests

Ground rules for members, nonprofits, and youth groups using chapter property.

The chapter is not a commercial facility, but does allow use of its property by nonprofits, youth groups, and members.

🚗

Speed limit: 10 MPH, radar enforced

Per chapter ground rules and posted signs, to protect members, guests, and wildlife.

Ground rules for facility use

  • Do not park or drive on the athletic field.
  • Take all trash with you, or use the appropriate trash receptacle — don’t leave trash in campgrounds, pavilions, or other chapter facilities.
  • Build fires only in existing fire pits; burn only wood, charcoal, or kindling (no cans, bottles, or food waste).
  • Don’t throw rocks on pavilion roofs, tear down signs, dig holes, or otherwise damage chapter property.
  • Shooting is prohibited anywhere on chapter grounds except the designated ranges.
  • Leave the area cleaner than you found it.
  • No child or group of children may be left unsupervised.
  • Firewood near campsites 1 & 2 is sometimes available for campground fire pits; otherwise bring your own. Do not take stacked/split wood that is for sale near the large pavilion.

Pets: animals brought to the property must be on a leash at all times. No animals are allowed in buildings except service dogs.

Outhouses: they use septic tanks — never put trash (plastic bottles, bags, etc.) in an outhouse. Clogged tanks cost the chapter money to clear, and groups may be charged.

If you see any issue or damage on the property, please email arlfxiwla@gmail.com right away.

How to request facility use

Check the chapter calendar first to see whether the facility you want is already reserved. Requests go by email to the chapter calendar volunteer.

Chapter family requests

For a group no larger than your immediate family (living in the same household). No Group Activities Permit is needed. Email your request for review and approval; once approved it is added to the chapter calendar. Include:

  • Your name (first and last) and ARL-FX chapter membership number
  • The facility or facilities requested and the number of immediate family members
  • Dates, and confirmation that you checked the online calendar for availability

Larger groups, nonprofits, and youth groups

For chapter members hosting a group larger than their household, and for non-profit and youth groups:

  • Every request is presented to the Board of Directors, which meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Chapter Field House.
  • Email your request with the dates, times, facilities, and number of participants.
  • Requests to use a program facility (range) must be received 10 days before the Board meeting. Scout groups must request 90 days in advance.
  • All forms and the designated Director’s signature must be completed before the request goes to the Board.
  • Each participant must complete the Liability Release / Hold Harmless form and bring it to every range they use.
