Archery 101 & 201

Archery 101 introduces new archers; Archery 201 is a 5-week session for beginners who want to keep going. Class dates are on the chapter calendar. Fees depend on the number of participants — contact Field Archery Director Dick Riemer at Dick.Riemer@arlingtonfairfax-iwla.org for current pricing and openings. See also Archery for instructor training. Class information: Archery 101 · Archery 201.

Education & Training Facility Trust

In 2003 the Board of Directors established a charitable trust, the Arlington-Fairfax Chapter Education and Training Facility Trust (ETFT), to raise the money to design, build, and equip a dedicated education and training facility. The project is separate from the chapter’s general budget and capital funds. The planned site is across the main road from the Field House. The current design has a classroom plus a pistol and smallbore range that can be divided for separate events, and the building would be the main home for NRA basic firearms courses, concealed-carry training, coach schools, Refuse To Be A Victim seminars, Women on Target clinics, smallbore team practice, and IDPA/IPSA/USPSA-type matches.

The trustees are looking for chapter members with professional fund-raising experience. Contact the trustees at ARLFX-ETFT@arlingtonfairfax-iwla.org. View the concept design (PDF).
